Carroll Estimating

Project Idea

Carroll Estimating’s company director, Paddy Carroll, sought to shift from a text-heavy website towards something more modern that captures visitors’ attention and prompts informed decisions. Paddy felt the original website created in 2019, when the company was established, no longer accurately represented the business. User Experience (UX) workshops were conducted to uncover users’ wants and needs when visiting the site.

Project Description

As Carroll Estimating began to experience rapid expansion in 2022, they recognised that updating their website was key for continued success. Providing a more appealing visual aesthetic and content tailored towards the company’s target user would ensure they continued generating leads through an improved digital presence.

They knew the importance of customer-centricity in every aspect of the business, including the website. And with that, acknowledged that the website in situ was no longer fit for purpose. Paddy’s vision and goals were to have a professional-looking site tailored to his customer’s requirements that created a positive user experience from beginning to end.

We carried out a comprehensive UX workshop with Carroll Estimating, the goal of which was to gain an understanding of the current needs and pain points of customers. The workshop enabled us to determine the entire customer’s journey.

The main takeaway from the UX workshop was that the existing content was to be skimmed down because there was a lot of overlap across the pages, especially within the services section. As a result of the UX workshop, Paddy later decided to narrow down his service offering to three key services: one-off tenders, pre and post-tender works and construction cost plans.
